The US Russian interference media story is puzzling. The sources for the story stating Russia interfered in the election are in many cases anonymous or those of questionable character. One of the tenets of critical reasoning is consider the source so let's look at the sources for the Russian story.

  1. The Washington Post

  2. The New York Times

  3. The Democratic National Party

  4. James Clapper

  5. Hillary Clinton

The Washington Post

Stories The Washington Post have written about Russia have been widely panned as fake news and are generally themselves sourced by anonymous leakers or are claimed to be sourced by anonymous leakers.

Fake stories:

The New York Times

Stores from The New York Times have been just as bad or worse than The Washington Post. Claims are always supported by anonymous sources and are fantastical. They simultaneously assert that Trump is an idiot and can't be trusted to govern and that he is a genius at setting up and maintaining a collusion conspiracy with the Russian government and keeping it secret from the most pervasive spying in the history of the world, the US government.

Fake stories:

The Democratic National Party (DNC)

Wikileaks published emails from party members showing they rigged the election against Bernie Sanders and tried to make Clinton look good in debates by feeding her questions from the audience in advance. They claimed to have been hacked yet would not let any state, local or federal authorities investigate the hack. They hired a private security group to investigate and we have all been relying on their findings ever since. The group, CrowdStrike, has a poor reputation within the industry.

The DNC is currently being sued by Bernie Sanders donators for their money back as free and fair elections were not held even though Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed the primary was free and fair.

James Clapper

Testified about US intelligence surveillance operation that was proven to be a lie by Edward Snowden leaks.

Hillary Clinton

There isn't enough storage capacity on the internet in order to document her lies. Below is a nice video compilation.
