Leftist Media Brainwashing Viewed Up Close

Today I had a debate with colleagues in my office on several subjects such as the US election Russian hacking witch hunt, WikiLeaks Julian Assange, China's invasion of Tibet, etc.
All the arguments were derided as incredible and conspitorial because the sources were not mainstream. My colleagues on the other hand were quoting sources that have been caught in scandal and corruption that should nullify their weight yet to my colleagues were just a few bad apples.
My colleagues are quite intelligent yet it was clear that they are in an echo chamber. No fact I stated nor accumulation of circumstational evidence could break through the chamber.
So you tell me:
Was the DNC hacked by the Russians or were the WikiLeaks documents leaked by an internal source?
Did Trump and his associates collude with Russia to illegally influence the US election?
Is Julian Assange a Russian agent or victim of US military industrial complex?
Did China invade Tibet to secure water resources or to take out the Dahli Llama because Mao was jealous of his power?
Is China against regime change in North Korea because they don't want to deal with the humanitarian crisis or because the don't the US to have a military presence on their border?
