Trump’s Betrayal

Trump has betrayed America, his campaign promises and his principle of America First by bombing Syria. There is a civil war in Syria where both sides are against Western values. America doesn’t have an economic stake in Syrian companies or infrastructure, there aren’t any waterways or airspace in jeopardy of being restricted and no American allies are being directly threatened (remember it’s a civil war). So what is the point of America bombing “strategic targets”?
Tucker Carlson of Fox News has been asking guests for weeks to explain America’s benefit in bombing Syria but has only received word salad responses that amount to a school yard response of, “because I said so”.
The fact of the matter is there is reason to attack a sovereign nation with missiles without being attacked or directly threatened by that country first. Wars cost money, a lot of money, and makes it more difficult to trade with other nations and since trade is the path to improving the lives of your citizens.
So Trump has betrayed, we all knew this was going to happen because as Mark Twain once said, “If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it.”
